I wanted to link “Serpentine dance” by American artist Loïe FULLER and the Pleats Please collection by Japanese designer Issey MIYAKE because I find that these two creations have similarities: movement, color and volume.

Butterfly orchid flowers symbolize for me the work of Loïe Fuller. These seem to float in the air just like the silk veils in "the serpentine dance".
Maybe Issey Miyake was also inspired by it for his creations?
“The art of these voluptuous and mystical movements [ … ] interpret the phenomena of nature and the metamorphoses of beings.”
